2024 Renault Duster revealed

Renault's sister brand Dacia revealed the all-new Duster with Dacia branding in November last year. Now, Renault has pulled the wraps of the Duster with under its brand name. Notably, the Renault Duster gets subtle changes to stand out from the Dacia Duster.

Renault Duster: Design

Both the Dacia and Renault versions of the Duster look identical, expect for a handful of changes. To begin with, the Renault Duster gets Renault lettering on the grille instead of a Dacia logo. At the back, there is a Renault logo, while its counterpart gets Dacia lettering. Although the new Duster carries over its signature boxy dimensions and appearance, it takes inspiration from the Bigster concept. Notably, the new Duster uses the new CMF-B platform, which underpins other Dacia, Renault, and Nissan vehicles. Key exterior highlights include sharp LED headlamps, Y-shaped DRLs, squared wheel arches, dual-tone alloy wheels, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, body cladding, Y-shaped LED taillamps, and a skid plates on the front and rear bumpers.

Renault Duster: Interior

On the inside, the Renault Duster remains the same as the Dacia Duster. Here, the steering wheel features the Renault logo. There is a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver's display, Type-C charging ports, automated climate control, and a small gear selector.

Renault Duster: Engine specifications

Internationally, the new Duster benefits from more efficient engines than before, with a Hybrid powertrain that combines a 1.6-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.2kWh battery pack. One e-motor produces 49PS, while another acts as a starter generator. Moreover, a 1.2-litre turbocharged mild-hybrid engine will also be available, paired with a six-speed manual transmission in all versions. And a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo bi-fuel engine. Meanhwhile, the company offers a choice of front-wheel and four-wheel-drive options.

The new Duster has a 217mm of ground clearance for the AWD variant. It has an approach angle of 31 degrees and a departure angle of 36 degrees. The SUV also gets downhill speed control system that adjusts speed automatically to ensure a smooth descent. Plus, there are five driving modes available, namely Auto, Snow, Mud/Sand, Off-road, and Eco. Further, the carmaker has given it an ADAS, electronic parking brake, multiple airbags, ESC, hill hold control, and TPMS.
