2024 Royal Enfield Guerrilla launching on 17 July: Price, features & more
Royal Enfield has set the stage to introduce its new motorcycle in India. It will be launching the Guerrilla 450, based on the 450cc platform, on 17 July this year. None other than Guy Martin, an Isle of Man rider, recently teased the upcoming roadster. The Guerrilla 450 will enter the blooming sub-500cc segment, where Harley-Davidson, Husqvarna, KTM, Triumph, and Bajaj alongside Royal Enfield are already selling their offerings.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: HighlightsRumours have it that the new Guerrilla 450 will be available in two variants. The entry-level version will reportedly get a semi-digital instrument cluster with Tripper turn-by-turn navigation (a setup similar to the Meteor 650 or Shotgun 650), and the top-spec model will feature the all-digital display borrowed from the Himalayan 450. Additionally, the top-end variant should also set it apart with dual-tone paint schemes. In contrast, the base-spec variant will be offered in a single-tone colour. It is also said that the roadster will come with Ceat's Gripp XL tyres, which should be paired with 17-inch wheels at both ends.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Features
The leaked pictures of the production-spec Guerrilla 450 confirmed that the motorcycle will come equipped with telescopic front forks instead of upside down forks. This move may help to undercut the price of the Himalayan 450. However, its most rivals offer upside down forks. Royal Enfield could offer it with LED lighting, ride-by-wire, dual-channel ABS, slipper clutch, and a single disc setup at the front and rear.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Engine specificationsThe Guerrilla 450 will borrow the 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine from its elder sibling, but there could be some tweaks to the mapping and reworked gear ratio. Nevertheless, it should make 40PS at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. Mated to this motor will be a six-speed gearbox.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Pricing & rivalsThe new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 price could range between Rs 2.30 lakh and go up to Rs 2.50 lakh. Upon launch, it will rival the Harley-Davidson X440 (Rs 2.74 lakh and Rs 2.94 lakh, ex-showroom), 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 (Rs 2.92 lakh, ex-showroom), KTM 390 Duke (Rs 3.10 lakh, ex-showroom), and Triumph Speed 400 (Rs 2.34 lakh, ex-showroom). Currently, Triumph is offering a discount of Rs 10,000 on the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X.
