2025 Bentley Flying Spur makes global debut

Bentley is bidding farewell to the W12 engine, so that means that this new fourth-generation Flying Spur Speed is now powered by a hybrid V8 but with more power. Just like the Continental GT Speed revealed earlier this year, Bentley has futureproofed its 4-door saloon as well along with a few fresh touches on the outside and the inside.

The 2025 Flying Spur is now the most powerful sedan Bentley has ever produced. Its new twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 hybrid outperforms the old W-12 in every category with 782PS and 1,000Nm of torque. It has 11 percent more torque and 19 percent more horsepower than the previous model. Bentley claims it can reach 100kph in 3.3 seconds, which is half a second faster than the previous model.

More power is only one aspect of the new Flying Spur Speed's electrified nature; another is its ability to go farther. On the WLTP cycle, the 25.9 kWh battery has an EV range of 76 km and can be fully juiced in under 3 hours using an 11 kW AC charging system. Assuming the 2025 Flying Spur is completely charged, Bentley estimates it can go up to 829 kilometers.

On the new Flying Spur, Bentley's new Active Chassis system is standard and consists of an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, adaptive suspension with all-wheel steering, and retuned ESC software.

The third generation Flying Spur was introduced in 2019, and while its exterior design mostly stays the same, it has undergone significant changes. Rather than a revolutionary revamp, the all-new Flying Spur has an evolutionary one. There's a new grille pattern, reworked bumpers, and a new set of 22-inch alloy wheels that draw attention to the car's enormous size. Along with the Styling Specification aero pack completed in body colour, there is also a hefty portion of brightwork done in dark chrome. For an added touch of style, owners can choose for a carbon fibre finish. There are also 101 exterior colours for customers to take their pick from.

Inside the roomy interior, passengers can experience the newest iteration of Bentley's famed workmanship and design, including completely redesigned seat designs with 3D diamond quilting and a modified perforation pattern in the centre area of the seat. There are 700 possible combinations of leather due to the 22 basic hide colours, 11 secondary tints, and 4 colour splits. Additionally, clients may customize their Flying Spur by selecting from eight wood veneers and three technical finishes. The three analogue dials and the revolving 12.3-inch high-definition display are still present.
