2025 Yamaha YZF-R3 breaks cover

Yamaha has revealed the 2025 YZF-R3 alongside the new YZF-R9 and 2025 YZF-R7 globally. The R3 gets a long-due update with a fresh design and additional features.

2025 Yamaha R3 Design & Colours

First up, the new R3 features a sportier and more aggressive face, which has a new projector LED headlamp and daytime running lights. To keep it looking fresh, Yamaha has also redesigned the fairing, seat, and tail section. Overall, the new design makes the 2025 YZF-R3 more appealing than its predecessor. In some international markets, the 2025 model comes in three colours, namely Team Yamaha Blue, Matte Sleath Black, and Lunar White with Nebula Blue. Colours and their names may vary depending on the market.

2025 Yamaha R3 Features & Hardware

Not only that, Yamaha has bestowed it with a new LCD display, featuring Bluetooth connectivity and slip-and-assist clutch. The brand says that the assist-and-slipper clutch system offers a significantly lighter feel at the lever by at least 17 per cent than a standard clutch system. In addition, the clutch lever itself has also been refined by positioning it 5mm closer to the handlebar to enable riders with small hands to operate the system comfortably.

It also gets a USB Type-A port. The 2025 R3 weighs 170kg when with fluids and has a seat height of 780mm. Then, the R3 continues with a KYB upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, dual-channel ABS, optional quickshifter, and a 298mm front and 220mm rear single discs.

2025 Yamaha R3 Engine Specifications

Powering the 2025 R3 is the same 321cc, inline twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled Euro5+ compliant engine producing 42PS at 10,750rpm and 29.5Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. This motor is coupled to a six-speed gearbox.
