5th-gen Jeep grand Cherokee launched in India, priced at Rs 77.5 lakh
Jeep India has launched the fifth-generation of the Jeep Grand Cherokee in India. Prices for the luxury SUV start from Rs 77. 5 lakh. Bookings for the new Grand Cherokee have already begun and deliveries are set to begin later in November.
India-spec Jeep Grand Cherokee features, ADASThe Jeep Grand Cherokee gets features like full leather upholstery, cabin noise cancelling, connected tech, a 10-inch HUD, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster as well as a 10.25-inch front passenger touchscreen. Also seen features are four-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, heated and cooled front seats, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof and second-row window shades.
The full suite of ADAS functions is a notable addition to the Grand Cherokee. These include forward collision warning, pedestrian emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind spot and cross path detection, passive pedestrian protection, drowsy driver detection, active lane management system, and intersection collision assist system. This should be accompanied with airbags, 360-degree cameras, TPMS, digital rear view mirror and stability control.
India-spec Jeep Grand Cherokee engine, 4x4
The Jeep Grand Cherokee gets a single engine option, the 2.0-litre turbo petrol from the Jeep Wrangler with 268PS and 400 Nm, pairing with the 8-speed ZF torque converter. The Grand Cherokee has quite a bit of off-road kit expectedly and will feature the Quadra-Trac I 4x4 system along with terrain modes.
India-spec Jeep Grand Cherokee price, rivalsThe Grand Cherokee will compete with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, Audi Q7, Volvo XC90 and Land Rover Defender.
