738PS BMW XM Label Red revealed as the most powerful M car

BMW has unveiled the BMW XM Label Red, and the most potent M vehicle ever made is all set for its first public appearance at the Shanghai Auto Show 2023. The brand will commence the production of the XM Label Red in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in August this year.

BMW XM Label Red: Powertrain
Powering the XM Label Red is a 577PS 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo petrol engine paired with a 19.2kWh battery pack and an electric motor. This system is coupled to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The Label Red's V8 makes 94PS and 200Nm more than the standard XM, totalling 577PS and 750Nm of torque. The combined output of the electric motor and the twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 is rated at a staggering 738PS and 1000Nm of torque. With this, it can go from zero to 100kmph in an estimated claimed 3.8 seconds and tops out at 282kmph.

The BMW XM Label Red retains the design language of the standard XM. The XM Label Red First Edition is limited to 500 units globally and will bear exclusive elements, such as a Frozen Carbon Black paint job paired with Toronto Red Metallic inserts.

BMW XM Label Red: Interior
On the inside, BMW has given it a 12.3-inch driver display and a 14.9-inch central information hub that runs on iDrive's latest iteration, OS 8.5. The cabin also gets a heads-up display, four-zone temperature control, massaging and ventilated front seats, a headliner with a 3D prism structure and 100 LED lights for illumination, Harman Kardon surround sound system, and ambient lighting.

BMW XM Label Red: Features
The Label Red features various standard features, such as adaptive M suspension Professional with electronically controlled dampers, anti-roll stabilisation with active-roll control, and M Sport braking system with six-piston fixed-calliper brakes at the front and single-piston floating calliper at the rear. Further, it comes with 23-inch alloy wheels.
