All-electric Mahindra XUV.e8 spotted testing once again
Mahindra's groundbreaking XUV.e and BE family of electric SUVs, which were unveiled on August 15, 2022, are ready to make a huge impact in the fast-developing electric vehicle (EV) industry. The Mahindra XUV.e8 electric SUV prototype was reportedly sighted on the Chennai-Bangalore route. The most recent spy shots provide some fresh information about the forthcoming EV.
The all-electric XUV700 was spotted with the same redesigned fascia as shown in its concept. It has an LED DRL strip across the width of the hood, as well as the new vertically stacked split-LED headlights. While the test mule had a different set of alloy wheels, we anticipate that they will be changed on the final production model to be more aerodynamically engineered.
The XUV.e8's rear design is similar to that of the internal combustion engine (ICE) XUV700 variant, with matching tail lights. The production version, however, is believed to have different tail lights.
The INGLO platform will serve as the foundation for Mahindra's electric vehicles. This new electric platform is adaptable and modular. Mahindra has stated that battery capacities would range between 60 and 80 kWh, adding that both RWD single motor and AWD twin motor configurations are possible.
One of the most noticeable alterations within the cockpit is the addition of a two-spoke steering wheel. Another addition is a new drive selector that is identical to the one shown on the concept. The electric XUV700 might possibly include a three-screen configuration, as seen on the prototype, which was most likely camouflaged on this test mule.
When it is released in 2024, the XUV.e8 will compete with the planned Harrier EV and Safari EV, as well as the presently in development Hyundai Creta EV.
