All-new Citroen C3 Aircross SUV teased ahead of India unveil on 27 Apr
After launching the C5 Aircross, C3 hatchback, and the new eC3 electric vehicle (EV), the French automaker Citroen has set the stage to reveal its all-new C3 Aircross three-row SUV in India on 27 April, 2023. The brand has offered the first glimpse of the new SUV via a teaser picture. Notably, Citroen has locally developed and built the upcoming C3 Aircross in India.
New Citroen C3 Aircross: Design
As seen in the teaser image, Citroen's upcoming three-row C3 Aircross will bear a familiar design language with signature styling cues similar to its siblings. The front will get split headlamps with integrated daytime running lights that resemble the C3 hatchback. Additionally, it could get round fog lamps, body cladding across the lower panels, alloy wheels, and probably square-shaped taillights. Like the C3 hatchback, Citroen is likely to offer funky single-tone and dual-tone paint options with the C3 Aircoss.
New Citroen C3 Aircross: Interior
While the new C3 Aircross looks familiar in terms of design, it will stand out with the larger dimensions, thanks to the three-row seating layout on the inside. Other interior features may include a sizable touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic temperature control, a multifunctional steering wheel, an engine start/stop switch, powered ORVMs with auto-fold, and USB fast-charging ports, among others.
New Citroen C3 Aircross: Powertrain
It is believed that the new C3 Aircross three-row SUV will likely benefit from the C3 hatchback's 1.2-litre PureTech, inline-three cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine generating 110PS and 190Nm of torque. This could be mated to a six-speed manual and a new automatic transmission.
New Citroen C3 Aircross: Prices
Given the C3 Aircross will be a compact SUV, competing with the likes of the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and Skoda Kushaq, we expect Citroen offer it with starting price of Rs 9-10 lakh. Not to mention, the C3 Aircross being a three-row SUV will also rival the Kia Carens and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga/XL6.
