All-new Hero Karizma XMR leaked ahead of launch
It is no secret that Hero MotoCorp will soon launch the all-new Karizma XMR in India. In fact, ahead of the launch, a picture of the upcoming Karizma XMR has been leaked during a dealer event, revealing its production version. In the previous month, the brand filed two trademarks for the names Karizma XMR and Karizma XMR 210, and a camouflaged test mule of the motorcycle was also spotted testing in the country.
The Karizma has a strong legacy in the Indian automotive industry and was also one of the most compelling offerings in the market. It still boasts a large and loyal fan base. As such, the upcoming Karizma XMR will be a key product for Hero MotoCorp, it will also play a significant role in boosting the brand's sales.
Upcoming Hero Karizma XMR: Design
As seen in the leaked picture, the Karizma XMR features an aggressive design language. It boasts a full-body fairing, sleek headlight, muscular fuel tank, split and step-up seat, and a swept-up tail section. The motorcycle also features a vivid red paint job with minimalist graphics. Although its bodywork resembles that of a supersport motorcycle, it is likely to offer a more comfortable sport touring riding posture.
Upcoming Hero Karizma XMR: Engine, transmission, and power output
The all-new Karizma XMR is rumored to be powered by a new 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine is expected to deliver more power compared to Hero's existing 200cc offerings, such as the Xtreme 200S and Xpulse 200 4V. We expect the power output to range between 20-25PS and 25-30Nm of torque. It is likely to be paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Upcoming Hero Karizma XMR: Specification and features
In terms of specifications and features, the Karizma XMR is expected to come equipped with telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, and single-disc brake setup at the front and rear. Notably, it is anticipated to have a dual-channel ABS setup. Hero may also equip the motorcycle with a fully digital instrument console featuring turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
Upcoming Hero Karizma XMR: Prices and rivals
To compete with rivals like the Yamaha R15 V4, KTM RC 200, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and Bajaj RS200, Hero is expected to price the all-new Karizma XMR competitively. Its estimated price range could be around Rs 1.80-2.20 lakh.
