Lexus has launched the new generation RX in India with prices starting at Rs 95.80 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is available in a choice of two trim levels: RX350h and RX500h F Sport.
New Lexus RX: Engine and Power outputs
Powering the RX350h is a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor with a combined output of 246PS and 242Nm of torque. Whereas, the top rung RX500h F Sport gets a 2.4-litre, inline-four cylinder, turbocharged engine linked to a dual-motor setup. This hybrid system makes 366PS and 460Nm torque. With this, the sportiest version of the RX can hit 100kmph from zero in a claimed 6.2 seconds, while the entry-level RX350h takes 7.9 seconds to complete 0-100kmph.
New Lexus RX: Design and Interior
The overhauled exterior design is dominated by a large spindle grille, sharp cuts and creases, unique belt and shoulder lines, door-mounted outside rearview mirrors, a light bar at the back that runs across its width, new alloy wheels, and Lexus signature daytime driving lights. The automaker now offers the new RX with a new Sonic Copper shade.
The interior comes with three options: Dark Sepia, Solis White, and Black. It also features a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a heads-up display, dual-zone temperature control, and a panoramic sunroof, among others.
New Lexus RX: Prices and rivals
The new RX350h costs Rs 95.80 lakh, while the RX500h F Sport trim comes with a sticker price of Rs 1.18 crore (both ex-showroom). The all-new RX compete against the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
