Ather Energy enters Sri Lanka

Ather Energy, the Bangalore-based electric scooter company, has added another feather in cap with the Sri Lanka market debut.

This is the second international market after Nepal, where the brand will open its first experience centre in partner with Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd., which is a joint venture between Sensei Capital Partners (Atman Group) and Sino Lanka Private Limited.

Ather Energy marked its entry into the international market with the launch of a new showroom in Nepal in November 2023. It has also opened three new dealerships with seven charging stations. Evolution Auto Pvt Ltd will play a role of nationwide distributor and manage sales and service operations for Ather in the country. The company will also set up fast charging stations across Sri Lanka. In India, Ather has 208 touchpoints and 1,973 fast-charging stations under the Ather Grid.

Ather Energy saw a significant increase in sales last month. They sold 10,080 units in July, up from 6,192 units in June, achieving a 63 per cent month-on-month growth and grabbing a nine percent market share, ranking fourth. It has sold over 1.73 lakh e-scooters so far.
