Audi India to increase prices by up to 2 per cent from January 1, 2021
Audi India will increase the prices of its cars by up to 2 per cent come January 1, 2021. This is being done to accommodate the weakening value to the Rupee in currency markets and a rise in input costs.
A 2 per cent rise could mean that the newly launched Audi Q2 could see its prices increase from anywhere between Rs 69,980 to Rs 97,780. Similarly for the Audi Q8 and the A6, a price hike of up to Rs 1,97,960 and Rs 1,08,844 respectively can be expected for the top-spec models. All these hikes are on the ex-showroom price.
Audi India has been on a launch spree in 2020, the last of which has been the Audi Q2. Prices for this start currently start from Rs 34.99 lakh for the base Standard 40 TFSI trim, going up to Rs 48.89 lakh for the top Technology 40 TFSI. Audi has also launched a more affordable variant of the Audi Q8, the Celebration, priced at Rs 98.98 lakh. The other launches this year have been the Audi A8 L priced from Rs 1.56 crore, the Audi RS Q8 from Rs 2.07 crore and the Audi RS 7 Sportback from Rs 1.94 crore. The Ingolstadt carmaker's next major launch is expected to be the facelifted Audi RS 5 Sportback.
For the Audi Q2, a new aftersales package has been introduced that bundles together a five-year service package with 2+3 years of extended warranty and 2+3 years of roadside assistance. For festive-season shoppers, Audi India has introduced programs that may include a lower rate of interest or an aftersales package that covers the Audi A6 for up to five years. Details of these are available dealerships across India.
