Audi Q8 e-tron launched in India, prices start from Rs 1.13 crore
Audi India has launched the Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportack e-tron at a starting price of Rs 1,13,70,000 (ex-showroom). The carmaker is offering the flagship SUVin 2 body styles SUV and Sportback and bookings for the car commenced earlier this month for a token amount of Rs 5 lakh. Audi claims that this new luxurious electric SUV has the capacity to deliver a range of approximately 600km.
The Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron are essentially facelifted versions of the e-tron and e-tron Sportback, respectively. They showcase subtle design updates, including a redesigned grille, tweaked front and rear bumpers, re-profiled headlights and taillights, larger air inlets, and newly designed 20-inch aero alloy wheels specially tailored for the Indian market. A new light stripe runs along the edge of the bonnet for both models.
The Q8 e-tron comes in nine exterior colour options: Chronos Grey, Glacier White, Mythos Black, Plasma Blue, Soneira Red, Magnet Grey, Siam Beige, Madeira Brown, and Manhattan Grey. The inside may also be customized in three distinct themes: Pearl Beige, Okapi Brown, and Black.
Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron: Powertrain
Powering the Q8 e-tron are two battery packs: 95kWh and 114kWh battery packs coupled with a dual-motor setup, delivering 340PS and 664Nm of torque and 408PS and 664Nm of torque, respectively. With the 95kWh battery pack, the Q8 e-tron offers a driving range of 491km, while the Q8 Sportback delivers a range of 505km. On the other hand, using a larger 114kWh unit increases their range to up to 582km and 600km on a full charge, according to WLTP standards, respectively. Both models can accelerate from zero to 100kmph in just 5.6 seconds. The Q8 e-tron models support up to 22kW Type-2 AC charging and up to 170kW CCS2 DC fast charging, enabling the battery pack to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 31 minutes.
Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron: Interior and FeaturesThe interior of the 2023 Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron is largely similar to their pre-facelift counterparts, but the dashboard now features recycled materials. The India-specific models are available with three interior themes: Okapi Brown, Pearl Beige, and Black. Customers can opt for Valcona Milano leather upholstery or a combination of leather and leatherette upholstery. Both models are equipped with a 12.3-inch driver display, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an additional 8.6-inch touchscreen control panel.
The Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron come loaded with an array of features, including digital LED matrix headlights, powered front seats with memory, lumbar support, massage function, ventilation, and heating, 30-colour ambient lighting, a 16-speaker, 705-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system, panoramic sunroof, four-zone temperature control, wireless charging pad, 360-degree camera, park assist package with park assist plus, soft-close function for doors, connected car technology, lane departure warning, adaptive air suspension, seven driving modes, gesture-controlled boot opening, and more.
