Bajaj CT 125X launched at Rs 71,000
Bajaj Auto has launched the CT 125X commuter motorcycle at a price of Rs 71,354 (ex-showroom Delhi). This makes the CT 125X one of the most affordable commuter bikes you can get your hands on in India right now.
Looks-wise the Bajaj CT 125X bares much resemblance to the smaller the CT 110X. It's got a headlight cowl with a 'V' shaped unibrow LED DRL, halogen headlamp, analogue instrumentation and bulb type indicators. You get a kickstart too, just as you would expect from a commuter bike at this price, it's not overflowing with tech. Other features include a bash plate, tank pads, a flat ribbed seat, worthy of long stints in the saddle as well as a tiny luggage rack at the back.
The CT 125X is powered by the same 124.4cc motor that pumps out 10.9PS and 11Nm that powered the Bajaj Discover 125, a bike that's is no longer being produced.
The CT 125X's underpinnings comprise a telescopic fork with gaiters, twin shocks at the rear, and also an optional disc brake at the front with a standard drum one at the rear. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends with a 100-section tread at the rear with a skinnier 80-section tyre up front.
