Bajaj Freedom 125 to be available in 77 different towns by August 15

Since its premiere earlier this month, the Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG bike has had an overwhelmingly positive reception. To commemorate the 77th Independence Day in India, the new Freedom 125 motorbike will be offered in 77 towns. The first-ever CNG Bike is offered in 3 variants and prices start from Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom).

Bajaj states that in the first week following its debut, there were over 30,000 queries for the Freedom 125. On July 16, the Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG bike was delivered to its first client in Pune.

The headline feature of this motorcycle is the powertrain - a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 9.5PS at 8,000rpm and 9.7Nm at 6,000rpm. This motor comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.

In the CNG mode, Bajaj claims a mileage of 102 km/kg, and in the petrol mode, 65 km/l. Thus, the entire range when both the gasoline and CNG tanks are full is 334 km.

For safety, Bajaj has placed the 2kg CNG tank inside the frame of the motorcycle. Not only that, it also has a petrol tank with a capacity of 2 litres. However, the fuel filler cap is shared between the petrol and CNG. As claimed, the combined range of the Freedom CNG is rated at 330km. The CNG bike gets a blue button on the switchgear to switch between the two fuels.

The Freedom gets an LED headlight, an all-digital cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, telescopic front forks, a linked rear monoshock, a disc at the front, and a drum brake at the rear. It uses 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. The Freedom has a seat height of 825mm and weighs 147kg.
