Bajaj launches most affordable Chetak 2901 variant at Rs 95,998

Bajaj Auto has expanded the Chetak line-up with the new and most affordable variant, called the Chetak 2901. Priced at Rs 95,998 (ex-showroom), it comes in Red, White, Black, Lime Yellow, and Azure Blue colour options. Following in the footsteps of TVS, Simple, and Ola, the new Chetak 2901 joins the lineup of electric scooter companies launching affordable e-scooters below 1 lakh.

Bajaj Chetak 2901: Range, battery, and charging

The Chetak 2901 electric scooter gets a 2.88kWh battery pack, promising an ARAI range of 123km. However, the real-world range will be lower compared to the claimed range. While the power output figures of the electric motor are unavailable, it provides a top speed of 63kmph. The battery is reported to require a charging time of six hours.

In contrast, the 2024 Chetak Premium gets 3.2kWh battery pack with an ARAI range of 126km. The top speed is rated at 73kmph. Whereas, the 2024 Chetak Urbane has a range of 113km, as per ARAI and tops out at 63kmph (73km with the optional TecPac).

Bajaj Chetak 2901: Features

Bajaj has bestowed the Chetak 2901 with an all-digital colour display, alloy wheels, drum brakes at both ends, all-LED lighting and Bluetooth connectivity. However, the optional TecPac, for Rs 3,000, unlocks additional features: Hill hold assist, Sport and Economy modes, a reverse mode, music control, follow me home lights, and limited app connectivity.
