Benelli Leoncino 500 BSVI launched at Rs. 4.59 lakh, undercuts its predecessor
Benelli India seems to be on a launch spree in 2021. After having launched the Imperiale 400 BSVI and the TRK 502 BSVI, both undercutting their predecessors, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer has launched the Leoncino 500 BSVI at Rs 4.59 lakh. Also, keeping in the trend, Benelli has managed to make the BSVI iteration Rs 20,000 more affordable than the motorcycle launched in 2019. The company claims it is the most affordable parallel-twin street scrambler in India today. Also, the Leoncino 500 will be offered with 3-year unlimited kilometre warranty as standard. While the above mentioned priced is for the Steel Grey colour, the Leoncino Red comes at a Rs 10,000 more premium
Powering the latest iteration of the Leoncino 500Â is a 500cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled unit that churns out 47.5PS at 8,500rpm and 46Nm (+1Nm) of torque at 5,000rpm mated to a six-speed gearbox. For the cycle parts, Leoncino 500 gets 50mm front USD (upside down forks) and an adjustable shock absorber in the rear from the Leoncino 250. The styling includes a traditional circular headlamp, however, with modern elements such as a projector. The bike also features a metal ornament in the form of a Lion on the front fender to indicate what its the name means. he instrument cluster is all-digital and is designed in a pod style. Also, the handlebar is low and the tail section sees minimum body panels.
