BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition unveiled ahead of 7 Sept launch
BMW has set the stage to introduce the 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition in India on 7 September, 2023. The bookings for this special edition model opened today and prospective customers can reserve their 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition for a token amount of Rs 1.50 lakh via the official BMW India website. Notably, the upcoming special edition model will be available in limited numbers.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance: HighlightsThe upcoming 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition is based on the on-sale 2 Series Gran Coupe 220i M Sport Pro. It will be offered with a single paint job, called Black Sapphire metallic. In addition, the special edition of the sedan will come equipped with M Performance parts, such as M front radiator grille and M-spec gear selector wrapped in Alcantara. The M Performance Edition will also boast more M Performance parts to make it stand out. On the inside, BMW will offer Sensatec upholstery in a combination of Oyster and Black theme.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance: Features
Since the 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition is derived from the standard 220i, it will likely come with similar features and specification as the on-sale model. It is expected to get LED headlamps, dual-zone temperature control, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, powered front seats with memory settings for the driver seat, a 10.25-inch driver display, a 10.25-inch central information hub, a heads-up display, wireless charging pad, six airbags, traction control, electronic stability control, TPMS, and cornering brake control, among others. That said, BMW may offer a handful of additional features with the M Performance edition.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance: Engine, transmission, and power outputsThe upcoming 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance will come powered by a 2.0-litre, inline four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. This motor delivers 176PS at 5,100rpm and 280Nm of torque between 1,350rpm and 4,600rpm. As a result, the 2 Series Gran Coupe can achieve zero to 100kmph in 7.1 seconds. Meanwhile, this powertrain claims to return a mileage of 14.82kmpl.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance: Prices
The limited edition 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance is expected to attract a higher premium over the current model. The 220i M Sport and 220i M Sport Pro cost Rs 43.50 lakh and 45.50 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. Whereas, the 220d M Sport is also priced at Rs 45.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
