BMW 220i M Sport Shadow Edition launched in India at Rs 46.90 lakh
Just a few days after launching the X3 Shadow Edition, BMW India has now launched the 220i M Sport Shadow Edition at Rs 46.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition of the coupe-styled 2-Series gets an aesthetic upgrade and will only be available with the petrol powertrain.
The Shadow Editon is exclusively available in Alpine White and Skyscraper Grey paint jobs. The Shadow Edition has a blacked-out kidney grille, adaptive LED headlights with dark inlays and M Lights Shadow Line specification, an all-black rear spoiler, and floating hubcaps with a levelling function.
Inside, the 220i M Sport Shadow Edition has a distinctive 'Illuminated Berlin' interior decor and a carbon gear selector. It also has ambient lighting, with six adjustable options. Apart from that the features list remains the same. You get dual-zone temperature control, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, powered front seats with memory settings for the driver seat, a 12.3-inch driver display, a 10.25-inch central infotainment, a heads-up display, a wireless charging pad, six airbags, traction control, electronic stability control, TPMS, and cornering brake control, among others.
BMW 220i M Sport Shadow Edition: Powertrain
It continues to be powered by a 2.0-litre, inline four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. This motor delivers 176PS at 5,100rpm and 280Nm of torque between 1,350rpm and 4,600rpm. As a result, the 2 Series Gran Coupe can achieve zero to 100kmph in 7.1 seconds.
The BMW 2 Series range starts from 43.90 lakh making the Shadow Edition Rs 3 lakh more expensive. For those interested in a diesel powertrain, BMW India offers the 220d M Sport at Rs 46.90 lakh with a 2-litre engine.
