BMW CE 04: Highlights & features

Coming back to the electric scooter, this CE 04 takes inspiration from the design language of the 2020 Definition model, boasting an outlandish and futuristic look. It features cornering headlights, daytime running lights, cuts and creases on the bodywork, angular panels, a flat floating-style seat, and contrasting accents. There is also a 10.2-inch colour display and keyless ignition. BMW has given it a big storage area with an unconventional opening door at the side rather than under seat location like the most scooters. Optional extras include a fast charger, heated grips and bench, TPMS, cornering ABS, and an emergency call system.

BMW CE 04: Specifications

Further, the CE 04 is uses a tubular steel frame, featuring 35mm telescopic front forks and a single-sided swingarm at the rear. It rides on 120/70 R15 section front and 160/60 R15 section rear tyres. BMW has equipped the CE 04 with dual disc brakes at the front, a single disc at the rear, ABS, and automatic stability control, and three modes (Eco, Rain, and Road).

BMW CE 04: Range, battery & performance

The CE 04 comes powered by an 8.9kWh battery pack paired with a liquid-cooled 42.5PS electric motor. It has a claimed range of up to 130km. The electric scooter can accelerate from zero to 100kmhh in 9.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 120kmph.

The CE 04 can be charged with a standard 2.3kWh cable, taking around 4.5 hours to fully charge the battery from zero percent using a regular socket. An optional 6.9kW fast charger reduces this time to about 1.5 hours.
