BMW launch the M4 Competition xDrive in India at Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom)
The all-new BMW M4 Competition xDrive, the company's newest M model in India, has been introduced at a price of Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom, India), making it the company's 10th high-performance M product in the country.
The new BMW M4 Competition xDrive is built on the BMW 4 Series design language, with M-specific tweaks to identify the two, such as the M-specific version of the large, vertical BMW kidney grille with hallmark double bars in a horizontal design, the powerfully sculpted wheel arches with eye-catching M gills, and the prominently extended side sills with attachment parts for the front and rear aprons are all part of the body design of the all-new BMW M4 Competition Coup.
The BMW M4 Competition xDrive comes standard with Adaptive LED Headlights with BMW Laserlight. The roof is built of carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) and has aerodynamic fins, a rear spoiler, and two exhaust tailpipes. The silhouette is strengthened with the front 19-inch M light-alloy wheels and the rear 20-inch M light-alloy alloys.
The new 3-litre straight-six engine blends BMW M GmbH's signature high-revving character with the newest M TwinPower Turbo technology. The BMW M4's petrol engine generates 510PS and 650 Nm of torque between 2,750 and 5,500 rpm. It will take you just under 3.5 seconds, to race the BMW M4 Competition from0 to 100kmph.
Inside, the interior has been redesigned to match the M-specific style, with newly developed, electrically adjustable M sport seats and fine-grain Merino leather upholstery with enhanced features as standard, as well as seat ventilation. The new M Carbon bucket seats with a structure-based design are a notable highlight of the options list. Three-zone automated climate control, LED inside lighting with ambient lighting, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system with 16 speakers are among the standard features.
The BMW Live Cockpit Professional has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that can be operated via the iDrive controller, multifunction buttons on the steering wheel, voice control, or gesture controls.
Head and side airbags for the driver and front passenger, as well as head airbags for the back seats, are standard on the all-new BMW M4 Competition. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), which incorporates Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Automatic Stability Control (ASC), M Dynamic Mode (MDM), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dry Braking function, and Active M Differential, is also included as standard equipment. DSC with M xDrive improves the safety factor even further.
Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, "For the last 50 years, BMW M has stood for those who enjoy high performance and supremacy of excellence. The all-new BMW M4 Competition Coupe delivers an uncompromised track and street experience at a whole new level with distinctive combinations. Superior engineering promises unparalleled driving dynamics, adrenaline-fueled body styling, head-turning road presence, while still holding the famous legacy of its motorsport lineage."
