The BMW M 1000 RR is powered by a liquid-cooled, 999cc inline-four engine that produces 212PS at 14,500rpm and 113Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. The bike accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.1 seconds.

The engine also has lighter rocker arms, titanium connecting rods, and revised combustion chambers. The exhaust system is lighter as a result of the usage of titanium. According to BMW, the motorcycle's top speed is 314kmph, up from 306kmph on the S 1000 RR.

The BMW M 1000 RR has a lightweight, beautifully constructed carbon fibre fairing with M Design tapes. The chassis is built on an aluminium bridge frame, which is augmented with an upside-down fork and a central suspension strut with Full Floater Pro kinematics. The superbike's fairing is made of carbon fibre and has M Design tapes. The integrated brake ducts in the front mudguards have been optimized for enhanced airflow around the fork legs and brake callipers.

The swingarm pivot point is more flexible. The suspension system is comprised of top-of-the-line 43mm USDs and a monoshock, both of which are completely adjustable. For braking, 320mm twin discs with 4-piston callipers and a single disc with a 2-piston calliper are employed.

The superbike has a 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster, a lightweight M battery, an engine brake, traction control, wheelie control, ABS and ABS Pro, a rear USB charging port, strong LED light units, electronic cruise control, and heated grips. It also includes a start-up animation with the M logo as well as an OBD interface for the M GPS Datalogger and M GPS Laptrigger.

The BMW M1000 RR models compete against the Ducati Panigale V4 R which is priced at Rs 70 lakh.
