BMW X3 Shadow Edition launched in India at Rs 74.90 lakh
BMW India has launched the X3 Shadow Edition in India at Rs 74.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition of the popular SUV from BMW gets an aesthetic upgrade compared to the standard xLine and M Sport trims but mechanically the cars remain identical.
Upgrades to the BMW X3 xDrive20d M Sport Shadow Edition include a blacked-out kidney grille, roof rails, and some new 19-inch Y-spoke style M alloy wheels. The car also gets BMW laser lights with blue accents and a beam throw of 650 meters. The dual exhaust at the rear is also finished in gloss black.
Customers can now spec their BMW X3 M Sport Shadow Edition with the Black Edition Package comprising M Performance rear spoiler, M side strip and M side logo in high-gloss black. There's even the Carbon Edition Package with additional elements such as a gear lever in carbon fibre and an entry sill in carbon fibre.
On interior features a 12.3-inch driver display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electrical seat adjustment with memory function, a head-up display, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, 3-zone climate controls and a panoramic moonroof. Safety includes six airbags, blind spot detection, front and rear collision sensors, parking assistant with a 360-degree camera and lot more
BMW X3 Shadow Edition: PowertrainAs mentioned above, the Shadow Edition of the X3 continues with the 2-litre four-cylinder, diesel engine that puts out 190PS and 400Nm of torque. This powertrain is strictly mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The car accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in just 7.9 seconds with a top speed of 213 kmph.
BMW offers a more hardcore version of the X3 in India known as the X3 M40i that uses a 3-litre six-cylinder petrol engine with 360PS and 500Nm of torque.
