BS62-compliant Skoda Kodiaq launched: All you need to know
Launched in January 2022, the 2023 Skoda Kodiaq facelift now complies with the new BS6 phase-2 and Real Driving Emission (RDE) emission regulations. Its prices start at Rs 37.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in choices of three variants: Style, Sportline, and Laurin & Klement (L&K). It is also to be noted that the carmaker assembles the Kodiaq at its Aurangabad facility in Maharashtra.
The SUV was sold out for the next four months within 24 hours of its launch. Further developments revealed the carmaker had planned 1,200 units for the Indian market in 2022. Notably, all allotted units were already reserved for 2022.
Skoda Kodiaq facelift: Design and Interior
With the BS6 phase-2 update, the Kodiaq continues to carry the same design. Complementing its imposing stance are the angular LED headlamps, sharp cuts and creases, a Skoda signature grille, muscular wheel arches, subtle body cladding, roof rails, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, the Kodiaq has an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, ventilated front seats, a 12-speaker, 625-watt Canton sound system, powered front seats with memory function, aluminum pedals, wireless smartphone charging, three-zone temperature control, and cooled glove box.

The updated Kodiaq comes with three new features: door edge protectors that come out on the opening of doors, a lounge step for the rear passengers, and rear spoiler extensions for improved aerodynamic efficiency.
Other features of the Kodiaq include nine airbags, ESC, smartlink connectivity, a panoramic sunroof, keyless boot opening, drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, Snow, and Individual), cruise control, dynamic chassis control 360deg camera, hill hold and descent control systems, and TPMS, among others.
Skoda Kodiaq facelift: Powertrain
Powering the Kodiaq is a new 2.0-litre, inline four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine generating 190PS and 320Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It is also linked to a four-wheel-drive system.
Skoda Kodiaq facelift: Prices and rivals
The Kodiaq Style, Sportline, and L&K cost Rs 37.99 lakh, Rs 39.39 lakh, and Rs 41.39 lakh (all ex-showroom), respectively. The SUV competes against the Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tiguan, MG Gloster, and Citroen C5 Aircross.
