BYD deliveries 300 units of Atto 3 EV in India in a single day
BYD India, a subsidiary of global electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer BYD, has achieved a notable milestone by delivering 200 Atto 3 units in a single day across six major Indian cities. The special delivery events took place in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, and Hyderabad.
In March 2023, BYD India had already announced the delivery of 700 Atto 3 units in the country. In fact, the brand had received 1,500 bookings for the EV within a month of its launch. Further, BYD India currently operates over 24 dealerships in 21 Indian cities and plans to expand its network to 53 showrooms by the end of the year. Meanwhile, this milestone coincides with BYD India's celebration of 16 years of operations in the Indian market. Along with the Atto 3, the EV maker sells the all-electric EV6 MPV here.
Launched in November 2022, the Atto 3 is available in a single variant, alongside a special edition model. It comes in four paint options: namely Parkour Red, Boulder Grey, Surf Blue, and Ski White. On the other hand, the special edition Atto 3 is offered in an exclusive Forest Green shade. Meanwhile, the EV measures 4,455mm in length, 1,875mm in width, and 1,615mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,720mm.
BYD Atto 3: Electric powertrain
Powering the Atto 3 is a 60.48kWh BYD Blade battery, paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor that delivers 204PS and 310Nm of torque. The EV provides an ARAI-certified range of 521km. Using an 80kW DC fast charger, it can be charged in 50 minutes from zero to 80 per cent.
BYD Atto 3: Highlights and featuresThe Atto 3 comes equipped with a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, five-inch digital driver display, artificial leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, CN95 and PM 2.5 in-cabin air filters, USB Type-C and Type-A ports, 360deg camera, powered front seats (six-way driver seat and four-way co-passenger), electric parking brake with auto-hold, seven airbags, four-wheel disc brakes, TPMS, ESC, ABS with EBD, hill descent control, traction control, a wireless charging pad, and NFC enabled car key. BYD has also given it Level 2 autonomy powered by six radars.
