BYD e6 successor will be called eMax 7; India launch soon

Chinese auto major BYD (Build Your Dreams) has revealed the name of its e6 successor for the Indian market. The facelifted e6 will be called the eMax 7. Internationally, the updated e6 is called the M6.

BYD eMax 7 Highlights

The letter 'e' in the name signifies the electric drive, while 'Max' emphasizes the model's improved performance, range, and features compared to the BYD e6. Whereas, the numeric '7' denotes a generational change over the current e6. As per BYD, the new eMAX 7 name also provides improved performance and a more practicality. Reports suggest that the upcoming EV may offer a seven-seat configuration, unlike the five-seat layout of the e6.

The eMax 7 (or the M6 as known in global markets) will feature a nip and tuck changes to the design to keep it looking fresh and in line with the brand's other offerings. The key updates will likely include a sharper and redesigned face with a new closed-off grille reminiscent of the Atto 3, new headlights and daytime driving lights, a new sporty front bumper, reworked taillights, and redesigned rear bumper. Newly designed and larger alloy wheels could also be on the cards.
