BYD eMAX 7 bookings open in India
BYD India recently confirmed that the next M6 electric MPV in India would be known as the "eMax 7." With new features and a new look, this facelifted MPV aims to provide Indian buyers with a better ownership experience. Interested customers can now pre-book their eMAX 7 for Rs 51,000 at authorised BYD dealers in India.
The BYD eMax 7 is expected to be available with a six or seven-seat configuration. The updated version of the e6 includes many new design components, including a reworked rear end with new tail lamps, wheels, and a new front fascia. However, the overall appearance of the two models is still quite similar.
The E6 was strictly offered as a 5-seater. So the addition of the third row means that the cargo volume will be slightly on the lower side, although folding the third row will free up a respectable amount of room for bags. Anticipate fresh leather upholstery for an upscale appearance. The panoramic sunroof, soft-touch dashboard, 12.8-inch touchscreen, and several other comfort amenities will all be found in the interior.
Furthermore, a long list of safety features, including six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and all-wheel disc brakes, are anticipated for the BYD eMAX7 MPV. Additionally, it is also expected that the electric MPV would have level 2 ADAS features.
Two different battery pack configurations are available for the BYD eMax 7 abroad: a 55.4kWh unit with a stated range of 420km and a 71.8kWh one with a 530km range. We anticipate that BYD would maintain the same configuration for the eMax 7 since it currently provides the 71.8kWh battery for the e6 in India. With the smaller battery, it generates 163PS, and with the bigger battery, 204PS. Both versions produce a total of 310Nm.
