BYD eMax 7 launched in India; prices start at Rs 26.90 lakh
BYD India has introduced the eMax 7, a facelifted version of the e6, with introductory prices starting at Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Unlike its predecessor, the eMax 7 is now available in both six- and seven-seat configurations across two variants - Premium and Superior. The first 1,000 customers will also receive special benefits as part of the launch offer.

BYD eMax 7 Design
The eMax 7 features a significant design overhaul with updated front and rear styling, along with new 17-inch alloy wheels. It measures 4,710mm in length, 1,810mm in width, and 1,690mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800mm. The India-spec model is available in four distinct color options: Quartz Blue, Cosmos Black, Harbour Grey, and Crystal White. Since the eMax 7 comes in three-row configuration, customers will need to fold the third-row to avail 580-litre boot space.
BYD eMax 7 Interior & FeaturesThe cabin of the eMax 7 sports a minimalist look, featuring a redesigned dashboard and center console, along with a new steering wheel. The interior is equipped with a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital five-inch instrument panel, powered front seats, one-touch down function for all windows, an NFC key card, leatherette upholstery, a six-speaker audio system, a powered tailgate, wireless charging pad, and ventilated front seats. Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, six airbags, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, connected car technology, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, all-wheel disc brakes, ESP, and ADAS.
BYD eMax 7 Powertrain
The eMax 7 is offered with two battery options: a 55.4kWh pack that delivers an NEDC range of 420km, and a larger 71.8kWh unit with a range of 530km (NEDC). The smaller battery enables the eMax 7 to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 10.1 seconds, while the larger battery achieves the same in 8.6 seconds. Power output varies depending on the battery, with the single electric motor producing 163PS/310Nm or 204PS/310Nm. The larger battery supports a charging speed of up to 115kW, while the smaller unit can be charged at a maximum rate of 89kW.
