Car sales June 2021: Nissan India retails 3,503 units with 505 per cent MoM growth
Nissan Magnite has brought in a whole new life to the functioning of the Nissan brand in India. Thanks to its attractive pricing, Nissan is gaining sales month on month and sold 3,503 units in June 2021 with MoM growth of 505 per cent. Nissan India sold 3,503 units in June 2021 against 576 units in June 2020.Â
Commenting on the sales performance, Mr Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, "The month had multiple COVID-19 related challenges of lockdowns and restrictions impacting production and channel operations, Nissan India kept people safety first & collaborated with the vendors & channel partners towards servicing the demand of its discerning customers. Recently, we launched an innovative Nissan Intelligent Ownership Subscription Plan for customers for an asset-lite lifestyle. With the news of good monsoon, we are preparing for a positive season by restarting the third shift at the plant to service the demand of the all-new Nissan Magnite to reduce the customer waiting period further."
Nissan has sold over 15,000 units of the Magnite since its launch and also recently started exporting the Magnite to different countries as well under its "make in India, made for the world" initiative. The demand for the Magnite is higher than what Nissan is managing to produce at its manufacturing facility in alliance with Renault. Hence, Nissan hired over 1,000 new employees and introduced third shift for the production. Furthermore, Nissan India also announced the CSD availability of its cars at attractive prices, including the Datsun range of cars. Nissan Magnite range starts from Rs 5.59 lakh and goes to Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai.
