Ceat ISRL gathers 85 supercross global stars for season one

The Ceat Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) is set to make a significant impact on the racing scene in India with its collaboration with the Federation of Motor Sports Club of India (FMSCI). It has announced that the inaugural season of the Ceat ISRL has already attracted the interest of 85 international Supercross riders and talents, creating a unique global sports experience in the country.

These riders represent various countries, including the USA, Spain, France, Thailand, Indonesia, Germany, Sweden, South Africa, and Australia, along with local Indian talent. This diverse pool of riders will give team owners the opportunity to create teams that combine international expertise with local flair.

The first season of the Ceat ISRL will feature 64 riders selected from this pool, including 20 young Indian riders who will compete alongside seasoned international racers. Scheduled for December 2023, the league has already unveiled the line-up of the first five teams, with more teams expected to be revealed soon.

The teams are gearing up for the Rider Auction, where they will select their riders. The inaugural season of the Ceat ISRL will include multiple rounds across three cities in India and will feature four racing categories: 450cc international riders, 250cc international riders, 250cc India-Asia mix, and 85cc junior class. This diverse range of categories promises to provide an exciting and competitive racing experience.

Speaking on the occasion, Eeshan Lokhande, Director and Co-Founde, Ceat Indian Supercross Racing League, said, "with immense pride and enthusiasm, I am thrilled to announce that the Ceat ISRL has received interest from 85 riders, indicating the league's global appeal. Our mission remains focused on enhancing the quality of Supercross racing in India and elevating it to a global level. This league will be a testament to the prowess of Indian riders, and we're determined to make it a global phenomenon."
