Citroen C3 Aircross specs revealed ahead January 29 launch
Citroen released the C3 Aircross in India in September 2023, with a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable SUVs in its segment. The catch though? There is no automatic gearbox on offer. That won't be the case anymore as Citroen India is all set to introduce the C3 Aircros with a 6-speed torque converter on January 29. Ahead of the formal launch, Citroen has revealed the specifications of the automatic variant and yes, there are updates.
Up until now, the C3 Aircross only offered a six-speed manual gearbox with its 1.2-litre, inline three-cylinder turbocharged petrol Puretech engine generating 110PS at 5,500rpm and 190Nm of torque from 1,750rpm. The brand will now introduce a 6-speed torque converter to be paired with the same powertrain. This will take the torque figure up by 15Nm for a total of 205Nm in automatic form.
The C3 Aircross manual claims to return an ARAI mileage of 18.5kmpl. Citroen is still to state efficiency figures for the automatic variant though. The automatic transmission will only be available on the Plus and Max trims.
