Citroen C3 Shine variant launched in India, prices start from Rs 7.60 lakh
Citroen India has unveiled a new top-spec Shine variant for its entry-level hatchback, the Citroen C3. The C3 was only offered in a Live and Feel variant until now but both those variants have a features list that could be considered below par. The new Shine variant is only offered with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine for now and packs a few more essential features. The Citroen C3 Shine variant starts from Rs. 7.60 lakh.
Citroen C3 Shine: Rs. 7.60 lakh
Citroen C3 Shine Vibe Pack: Rs. 7.72 lakh
Citroen C3 Shine dual-tone: Rs. 7.75 lakh
Citroen C3 Shine dual-tone: Vibe Pack: Rs. 7.87 lakh
The Citroen C3 Shine gets the 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels as standard. These wheels are available on the other variants but as an additional accessory. It also comes with 35 connected features through the My Citroen Connect app.
Citroen has introduced power-adjustable wing mirrors, a rear parking camera, a manual day/night rearview mirror, and front fog lights. The rear wiper and washer, as well as the defogger, were some of the most missed features on the C3, and are now available on the C3 Shine.
The rest of the features that are offered with the C3 will be carried forward as is.
For the time being, the C3 Shine is equipped with an 82PS and 115 Nm 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The top-end variant will include the 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine in the future.
The Citroen C3 competes with manual-transmission variants of the Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger, Hyundai i10 Nios and Nissan Magnite. The C3 will become a more serious rival in the segment with the inclusion of these additional capabilities.
