Citroen's C3-based India-bound EV to be called eC3
Citroen has released a teaser, confirming the upcoming C3-based all-electric car, called the eC3. The French automaker is likely to launch its Tata Tiago EV rival in the country in the coming months.
The Citroen eC3: Exterior
The electric equivalent of the C3 has been spotted undergoing tests in India on several occasions. If the spy pictures are to go by, the eC3 is expected to carry forward more or less the same design language as its ICE sibling. However, the EV could feature a closed-off grille, a charging port on the fender, a fresh set of wheels, and probably distinctive paint options.
The Citroen eC3: Interior
Like the exterior design, the interior of the eC3 is likely to be identical to the on-sale C3. But the brand is expected to provide a redesigned centre console and offer a new EV-specific user interface and features for the instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system.
The Citroen eC3: Range, Battery, and Charging
The details about the eC3's electric powertrain are unavailable at the moment. However, rumour has it that the electric hatchback will be equipped with a 30kWh battery pack. It may also use the PSA Group's eCMP platform similar to the Peugeot e-208. That said, the Citroen eC3 is expected to offer a driving range north of 350km.
