Coronavirus impact: Rapido launches Rapido Store
The bike taxi service provider Rapido has announced the launch of its store that will help customers and businessmen in delivering products and groceries as well. The company already has over 200 SMEs on board and the facility is currently available in Bangalore and Vijayawada, it will soon expand to all other cities across the country where Rapido has a presence. Customers can track their deliveries and the base price starts at Rs 35 for 3km in Bangalore and Rs 30 for 3km in Vijayawada. Customers just need to recharge their wallet and place an order.
Aravind Sanka, co-founder of Rapido, said, "India is home to 30 million Small and Medium Enterprises, with many of them at the nascent stage of their digital transformation. The sudden and prolonged changes in the social and business landscape have caused a significant apprehension within local and smaller businesses. Rapido Store will give these businesses and entrepreneurs an opportunity to maintain continuity and also increase sales by reaching out to new customers by leveraging Rapido's extensive network. The service will allow these businesses to overcome manpower and mobility challenges by helping them deliver their orders and save time."
The company has over 15 lakh captains in around 100 cities, the Rapido Store facility will leverage the existing fleet of Captains to ensure prompt, quick and secured deliveries. The captains have also gone through a training procedure that ensures timely and safe delivery during these unprecedented times. The company has rolled out safety guidelines that must be followed by all captains for each delivery, these include use of mask, gloves, and sanitisers. The Rapido Store will be a huge boost for customers and businessmen as well during these testing times, as it will help in delivering basic essentials and goods safely and timely.Â
