Coronavirus impact: Yamaha launches "Corona Warriors' Camp"

The camp will be organised June 8-22 at select dealerships across the country. The initiative includes exclusive and attractive discount deals along with priority service for the frontline workers.
All the frontline workers will be offered a 14-point vehicle checking for free and vehicle sanitisation for free. There is a 10 per cent discount on spare parts and labour charges as well. All front line workers can avail these benefits from their nearest dealerships on the basis of appointment in order to adhere to the social distancing guidelines. The frontline workers include doctors, police officers, nurses and other government officials.
Additionally, the company had donated over Rs 60 lakh to various government authorities across the country to fight the Coronavirus pandemic. It also includes a contribution of Rs 11.5 lakhs to the PM CARES fund. The money was collected from permanent employees and trainees of the company based at the three plant facilities in Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The employees of the company have donated a day's salary starting from April on a voluntary basis to support the government's fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
The company also extended its warranty and service period for those customers who were not able to avail these services because of the lockdown.
Yamaha recently resumed manufacturing at its Kancheepuram factory while adhering to all safety standards and social distancing guidelines set by the government to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
