COVID19 impact: MG Motor India donates Hector converted into testing unit
MG Motor India has been actively participating in COVID-19 welfare for the nation. Earlier, the carmaker donated Hector ambulances to the Gujrat government and also started a medical helpline for its customers. MG has finally converted its Hector Plus into a COVID-19 testing car. The vehicle will be used as Dhanvantari Rath to perform RT-PCR tests across the state along with other medical activities.
On the occasion, Rajeev Chaba, President and MD of MG Motor India said, "Mobile health services are the need of the hour as the nation recovers from the pandemic and inline remains our focus at MG towards serving the communities in the best manner possible through the MG Sewa initiative. As part of the current initiative, the first Hector Plus mobile testing unit donated will be used for supporting healthcare services in the region."
Under the initiative MG Sewa, the carmaker announced various other facilities like MG Healthline for its customers to provide medical assistance. When the nation was facing the adverse scarcity of oxygen cylinders, MG Motor India joined hands with Devnandan Gases to ramp up the production of oxygen cylinders by 36%, which will soon be increased to 50%. In addition to that, MG also donated 200 beds for COVID-19 patients in Gurugram and distributed biodegradable bedsheets in Pune.Â
