Datsun Go and Go+ BSVI launched in India at Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 4.19 lakh respectively
Datsun has launched the updated Go and Go+ cars in India, prices of which start from Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 4.19 lakh respectively. While the design and the features largely remain unchanged, the updated twins feature BSVI compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine, that is being offered with a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional CVT - the most accessible CVT cars in the country. The prices for the CVT models are Rs 6.25 lakh for Go and Rs 6.69 lakh for the Go+.
The 1.2-litre petrol engine mated with CVT makes 77PS of power at 6,000rpm and generates 104Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. While the 5-speed manual transmission models makes 68PS at 5,000rpm and puts out 104Nm at 4,000 rpm. Datsun mentions that both the cars are offered with Sports mode, in the automatic variants, where the overall driving experience is enhances with more power specially during overtaking, explains Datsun. For the manual versions of the Go, fuel efficiency has dropped from 19.83 kmpl to 19.02 kmpl. In the Go CVT, the number has dropped from 20.7 kmpl to 19.59 kmpl. In the Go Plus MPV, the fuel efficiency for the manual version has dropped from 19.72 kmpl to 19.02 kmpl. With the Go Plus CVT, the figures drop 19.41 kmpl to 18.57 kmpl.
Both the cars continue to come with dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, and reverse parking assist. Further, the features also includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. In terms of design, there are six colour options - Ruby Red, Bronze Grey, Amber Orange, Crystal Silver, Vivid Blue, and Opal White. Diamond-cut R14 alloy wheels; LED DRLs and a ground clearence of 180mm has been carried forward in the new iterations as well.
Datsun is also offering Buy Now and Pay in 2021 offer on both the Go and Go+ wherein the customer can pay the downpayment now and then choose to start paying the EMIs from 2021. Further, Datsun is also offering other offers that include 100 per cent finance option, low EMI benefit and EMI assurance benefit. The company will be offering a standard warranty of two years, which can be extended up to five years. Both the cars come with a free road side assistance subscription for 2 years.
