Details of Royal Enfield Scram 411 leaked ahead of launch
After seeing millions of spy photos with no confirmed facts, shots of a Royal Enfield Scram 411 brochure have recently emerged online confirming that the launch of the more road-oriented version of the RE Himalayan is right around the corner along with some key details of the bike.
For those who are unaware, the Scram 411 is going to be a toned-down (and more affordable) version of Royal Enfields' popular Himalayan Adv bike. From the leaked photos we learn that the Scram is set to come with a smaller, possibly 19-inch spoke front wheel, the Himalayan comes with a 21-incher) which would explain the slightly lowered ground clearance, while the bike gets the same off-set instrument cluster with tripper navigation along with dual channel ABS.
What's visibly noticeable though, is that the Scram will not feature dedicated storage racks at both ends. The motor appears to be the same unit 411cc long-stroke motor that powers the Himalayan, but should come in a different state of tune which would up its touring friendliness.
The RE Scram 411 is expected to be priced under the RE Himalayan somewhere around Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom) region and go toe-to-toe with a the recently launched Yezdi Scrambler.
