Ducati reveals updated Hypermotard 950 range

Ducati has revealed its updated Hypermotard 950 range. The 2021 Hypermotard 950 now falls in line with Euro 5 (BS VI) emissions standards and gets some minor revisions to its gearbox, while the latest SP variant sports a lively MotoGP-inspired livery. All three variants of this motorcycle - Hypermotard 950, Hypermotard 950 RVE and the Hypermotard 950 SP use the same engine and gearbox. The new Italian supermoto range will be available in markets abroad from June this year.

It appears that Ducati hasn't tweaked around too much with the outgoing Hypermotard 950 model â€" with the new range carrying forward much from the older bike's formula. The heart of this manic machine, the 937cc Testastretta L-twin, continues to produce 115PS @ 9000rpm and 95Nm @ 7,250rpm. The six-speed gearbox is the only exception to this matter, and has been revised to make it easier to engage neutral when the bike is stationary and to ensure that gear changes are smoother than before.

The standard Hypermotard 950 gets riding modes, power modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, tapered aluminum handlebars, removable passenger footpegs, and a USB power socket, while the more premium SP features some additional kit in the form of an Ohlins suspension setup, Marchesini forged wheels, carbon-fibre components, and a bi-directional quickshifter.

Now don't go rubbing your hands in glee just yet, because we don't have any clarity on the India launch dates of the 2021 Hypermotard 950 range as yet. Though we do expect the Italian manufacturer to offer all three iterations of its manic supermoto in the Indian market.
