Entry-level Tata Tigor XM iCNG launched in India at Rs 7.40 lakh
Tata Motors has expanded the Tata Tigor iCNG range by adding a new entry-level XM variant to the compact sedan's line-up. While the XM variant is the mid-spec trim in the standard Tigor, the range starts with this variant in the case of the Tata Tigor iCNG with a Rs 7.40 lakh price.
Tata Tigor XM iCNG featuresNotable features available with the Tata Tigor XM iCNG are a four-speaker Harman sound system, power windows, central locking, rear parking sensors and digital instrument cluster. Safety features are limited to the government-mandated two airbags, ABS, seatbealt reminders. The Tata Tigor carries a four-star safety rating for the petrol and EV variants.
The Tigor XM iCNG can be had in Opal White, Daytona Grey, Arizona Blue, and Deep Red colour options.
Tata Tigor XM iCNG engine, CNG rangeThe cars continue to be powered by the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol, producing 73PS and 95 Nm here. These are 13PS and 18 Nm less than the petrol-only variants. There is a single five-speed manual gearbox option.
The Tata iCNG cars come fitted with a 60-litre CNG tank and a 35-litre petrol capacity, good for 300 km of CNG-only range. Tata Motors has also added numerous safety system to the CNG kits to make them safer, which you can read about here.
Tata Tigor XM iCNG priceThe Tata Tigor XM iCNG is priced at Rs 7.40 lakh. The Tigor is now the second-largest selling sedan in India and is the only one to be offered in petrol, electric and CNG fuel options.
