Facelifted Audi RS5 to launch in India on August 9
Audi is all set to launch the Audi RS5 facelift on August 9, 2021. Audi is most likely only to sell the sportback version and not the coupe, as it practically makes much more sense. The RS5 will go head to head with the new BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C 63.
Following the teaser Audi put out across its social media, there appears to be a number of styling updates and design elements that the RS5 will feature. A new wider and flatter single-frame grille, some new matrix LED headlamps, new LED taillights with the signature LED pattern and freshly revised front bumper and rear diffuser are some of the minor upgrades. The facelifted model also features 40mm larger wheel arches than the previous generation, giving it a more aggressive stance.
A new 10.1-inch MMI infotainment display with touchscreen capability, a 12.3-inch digital instrument console and big aluminum paddle shifters behind the steering wheel come as part of this new update. Audi will also be offering 2 new colours - turbo blue and tango red.
There won't be any new changes under the bonnet of the RS5. The car will do the 0-100km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds thanks to its 2.9 liter twin-turbocharged V6. The motor produces the same 450PS and 600Nm and will distribute that power to all 4 wheels through Audi's legendary Quattro system. The top speed of the car is electronically restricted to 250km/h
The Audi RS5 will join its much more domesticated sibling, the S5 in the dealerships by 9 August, 2021 and will come with a price tag of Rs1.5 crore.
