Facelifted Tata Harrier spotted testing, expected to debut in early 2023

The only upgrades made to the Tata Harrier SUV since its premiere in January 2019 have been to its features. In addition, the SUV's colour scheme has undergone a number of changes, with the Jet Edition being the most recent addition. Now, what looks to be the facelift version of the Harrier has been spotted testing on Indian roads.

There are still only a few details, but the test mule's front view displays a radar system located directly in the centre of the bottom air dam. This indicates that the facelifted SUV will integrate ADAS in its safety package, which includes adaptive cruise control, front collision warning, and blind spot monitoring. Two headlights that seem out of place are also visible in the front image, but this is just because the lamps themselves are obscured, suggesting a redesign.

the new grille now has parallel grille lines that are horizontally positioned. Updated LED DRLs and headlights, new alloy wheels, and tweaks to the front bumper are among the further design alterations. Additionally, we anticipate it will get a slightly revised bumper and maybe new components for its taillights.

For the redesigned Harrier, don't anticipate any changes to the engine. Tata is probably going to give it the same 2-liter, 170 PS, 350 Nm diesel engine that powers the present model. Both a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission should be available for it. Following the debut of the updated SUV, an all-electric Harrier might be introduced.

Along with the addition of new technologies including a 360-degree camera, enhanced connected car tech capabilities, a bigger infotainment system, and a revised instrument cluster, you can also anticipate a few touchpoints and finish updates.

The updated Harrier is expected to retail slightly higher than the outgoing model, which costs between Rs 14.7 lakh and Rs 22.2 lakh (ex-showroom). The anticipated release date is 2023.
