Ford will introduce Frankfurt to 'Vignale'
Ford Europe is prepping a Vignale Mondeo for the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show. Ford will have versions of its fancier models with upmarket features and finishing and sell it in Europe with the Vignale moniker.
The Vignale is Ford strategy to attract customers who are looking for an upscale lifestyle product than a value-for-money bargain. The new-generation Mondeo based concept will be the first car to carry the Vignale badge. With the Vignale range of cars, Ford plans to lure consumers away from German giants BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
Ford says that the Vignale brings unique interior and exterior design touches, premium craftsmanship, and exclusive specification and technologies. These include specially crafted 20" alloys, unique Vignale badging, chrome door handles and mirror caps, mesh grilles, redesigned front and rear bumpers, new headlamp design and a new color palette.
On the inside, it features quilted trim, chrome lower mouldings, leather armrests, seating with Vignale detailing and high-quality, soft-touch leather that extends to the steering wheel, instrument panel, centre console, door top-rolls and centre arm-rest, embossed scuff plates and luxury floor-mats. Tech aspects include Ford SYNC with MyFord Touch interface, wi-fi capability and adaptive LED headlights.
Not restricting Vignale as simply a product, Ford plans to make it an ownership experience. Vignale is inspired by exclusive services like VIP air-travel services that offer chauffeuring, dedicated check-in and security and clubhouse access; exclusive banking and credit card services with dedicated relationship managers, reward points, concierge services and partner brands such as hotel chains, restaurants and entertainment venues.
"Ford Vignale premium services will meet the needs of the customer for whom time is the ultimate luxury," said Gaetano Thorel, Marketing vice president, Ford Europe.
