Fourth-gen 2021 Skoda Octavia launched in India, prices start from Rs 25.99 lakh
Skoda India has launched the fourth-generation of the Skoda Octavia in the country. The sedan is available in two variants, the base Style variant is priced at Rs 25.99 lakh while the top Laurin and Klement version costs Rs 28.99 lakh. This generation of the Skoda Octavia was launched globally in 2019 but with delay casued due to the COVID19 pandemic, launches here only now. Skoda India will follow up the launch of the Octavia with that of the Skoda Kushaq by the end of June and the Kodiaq facelift by the festive season. The Slavia sedan should come by early next year.
The 2021 Skoda Octavia sees a full revision of its interior with a less-extravagant look and many functions moving to the new 10-inch centre touchscreen. The 10.25-inch instrument cluster also gets new graphic while other comfort features include dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, five USB-C ports, the MySkoda Connect app-based connected-tech, auto headlamps and wipers, adaptive LED lighting, sequential LED tailamps, LED ambient lighting, 10-speaker Canto audio and 8-way adjustable front seats. There are now ventilated seats or sunroof on offer.
A full range of practical features, now typical of any Skoda have been provided as well. These include puddle lamps with Skoda lettering, a phone holder in the front seatback, sunblinds for the rear windows, and a USB-C port fitted to the inside mirror to run dash-cams, etc. There is the new Skoda two-spoke steeing wheel, leather upholstery and a dual-tone black and beige interior theme.

Aside from its sharper looks, this generation of the Octavia has also grown in size. It's 19mm longer now at 4,689 mm and is 15mm wider at 1,829 mm. The wheelbase is 2,686mm, a drop of 2mm, and two wheel sizes of 17-inch size are available. Boot space has increased by 10 litres to 600 litres.
The 2021 Skoda Octavia is available in a single petrol engine option. This is the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol motor as seen on the facelifted Superb, making 190PS and 320 Nm, and pairing with a seven-speed DCT which now features shift-by-wire technology. 2021 Skoda Octavia safety
The fourth-gen Skoda Octavia is being offered with upto eight airbags that include front and rear side airbags, front driver and passenger airbags and curain airbags. Other safety features are driver fatigue warning system, park assist, TPMS, multi-collison braking and electronic differential lock.
