Hero XPulse 200 4V launched at Rs 1.28 lakh

Hero MotoCorp has just launched the XPulse 200 4V in the Indian market, and it can be had for Rs 1,28,150 (ex-Delhi).

The only major change with this adventure bike from Hero comes in the form of the engine employing a four-valve setup, instead of the existing Hero XPulse 200 2V model's two-valve setup. This change in the 200cc, single-cyl engine has bumped up the XPulse 200's power output figures slightly. The four-valve, oil-cooled motor now makes 19PS of power at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm which is 1PS and 1 Nm more than the 2-valve engine variant.

Other changes on the XPulse 200 4V include an updated cooling system which should improve heat management on rides within city limits, a tweaked transmission and altered gear ratios that are said to provide better tractive effort and acceleration.

Feature-wise, the XPulse 200 4V continues to boast a full digital LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and call alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, gear indicator, eco mode and two trip meters along with single-channel ABS as standard.

No changes to the other hardware though. The XPulse 200 4V still all-terrain-friendly with its long travel suspension â€"190mm front and 170mm rear (the rear monoshock has 10-steps of adjustment) along with 21-ich front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, aluminium bash plate, dual-purpose tyres. Stopping power comes from 276mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes with single-channel ABS.
