Honda Elevate: Design And Dimensions

The Elevate shares design elements with the sixth-generation CR-V and the new-generation WR-V, both of which are available globally. The Elevate is 4,312mm long, 1,790 wide and stands 1,650mm tall. With a wheelbase of 2,650mm, ground clearance of 220mm and boot space of 458 litres, this new offering from Honda already speaks for itself in terms of space.

The new Honda signature grille at the nose and the slightly squared-off silhouette give the a very bold front fascia. The front features full LED headlight units and fog lamps at the bottom.

On the flanks, Honda's new midsize SUV has slightly flared wheel arches that give it a hefty SUV appearance, as well as a set of 16-inch alloy wheels identical to the ones seen on the facelifted City. The Elevate features a slightly sloped rear window and wraparound taillights at the back, and that squarish theme from the front flows all the way to the back as well.

Honda Elevate: Powertrains

The Honda Elevate will be offered with the Honda City's 121PS and 145 Nm of torque 1.5-litre petrol engine. This motor will be paired with a 6-speed manual or an optional CVT unit. The more powerful strong hybrid engine from the City eHEV is likely to hit the market later.

Although the diesel engine is still doing well in this segment, the Elevate won't get that option as Honda has completely ruled out the diesel motor from India.

Honda Elevate: Interior And Features

The new Honda Elevate will be a 5-seater SUV and won't be offered with an additional third row. The Elevate has a standalone infotainment touchscreen in the centre of the dashboard. The horizontally oriented screen measures 10.25 inches and will feature wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging pad, single pane sunroof and ventilated front seats are just some of the other interior amenities.

The Honda Sensing ADAS suite, which includes a collision mitigation braking system, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, departure warning, and automatic high beam assist, will also be available in the Elevate.

Honda Elevate: Launch And Competition

The Honda Elevate's pricing is expected to start at Rs 11 lakh. It will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, and the facelifted Kia Seltos and Citroen C3 Aircross.
