Honda Goldwing gets Android Auto update
Honda Goldwing now gets Android Auto, the update will be available from mid-June and it will start with the US market and eventually reach India. All the Goldwings that were manufactured from 2018 can get the software update without any additional cost.
Customers with Android 5.0 on their smartphones can easily connect with the bike's infotainment system after the software update. The bike gets a clean user interface, Google assistant, voice-activated functionality with the Android Auto-update. You can access music, media, messages and other functions easily. The bike already had Apple Carplay from the year 2017 and the addition of Android Auto is bound to pool in customers who use android phones.
The bike is powered by a 1833cc liquid-cooled engine that pushes 127PS of power at 5,500rpm and pulls 170Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. The 2020 model updates include fuel injection technology and 7-speed DCT along with other tweaks. The bike is 2575mm long, 905mm wide and 1430mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 1695mm and it weighs 379kg. The bike gets a ground clearance of 130mm and a saddle height of 745mm which is welcoming to the average Indian height. And the fuel tank can store up to 21.1 litres. The bike rides on an 18-inch wheel up front and a 16-inch wheel at the rear. Suspension duties are done by a double-wishbone setup at the front and a pro link at the rear. Braking is done by 320mm dual disc at the front and 316mm single disc at the back with dual-channel ABS. The Android Auto-update can be expected in India in the near future.
