Honda introduces new extended warranty programme
Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has introduced a new warranty programme for its entire petrol car line-up. With this, customers can purchase an extended warranty of up to seven years within two years of the date of purchase. Notably, the extended warranty is transferable to the next owner.
This extended warranty is available only on petrol models, such as the City, Elevate, City e:HEV, and Amaze. Not only that, this also covers the petrol models of the Jazz, Civic, and WR-V if the owners are enrolled for the extended warranty programme earlier. Moreover, this package offers unlimited kilometres coverage up to seven years.
Customers can buy for seven years unlimited kilometers extended warranty within 2 years from car purchase date, along with other options availability until the end of the standard warranty. For existing customers, having an extended warranty until fourth year and fifth year can also opt for warranty extension up to seven years or up to 1,50,000km (whichever is earlier).
HCIL reported a total sales of 10,911 units in the previous month. It sold 5,675 units in the domestic market and exported 5,236 units. In contrast, it had registered 9,861 units in domestic sales and exported 1,310 units in September 2023.
