Honda Mobilio won't get the AVN system and faux wood panels in India

When we brought you our review of the Mobilio last week, most of you echoed our thoughts that the faux wood inlays in the dashboard and door panels of the Mobilio looked low-rent and out of place. We also complained about the infotainment system, which clearly seemed like an afterthought in a bid to combine features like a reverse parking camera, a satellite navigation system and a video player with a conventional audio system.

Well, Honda has responded to the feedback instantly and has confirmed to us that the mock wood panels and the audio-video unit will not make it to the production-spec Mobilio. These two components were restricted only to an option pack based on the top-spec trim and of course, on the RS trim â€" but the package will now be dropped altogether. The Mobilio will get the same interiors as the Amaze, which is an elegant black-and-beige combination and the audio system will be the 2-DIN unit seen in the Amaze and the Brio.

Since Honda sells the mock wood panels as an accessory for the Amaze and the Brio, you should still be able to buy one for the Mobilio too, just in case.

The Mobilio will be launched in India on July 23, 2014. Stay tuned to Overdrive for all the updates.
