Honda recalls select units of 2022 CB300R in India

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, one of the largest two-wheeler makers in India, has announced an official voluntary recall for a limited number of units of the 2022 CB300R. The brand has issued this recall owing to an inappropriate manufacturing method of the right crankcase cover of the motorcycle.

Honda CB300R: Recall
The two-wheeler manufacturer will start the replacement process of the affected part across its Big Wing dealerships from 15 April, 2023. For this, it will communicate with the CB300R owners.

As identified by the bike maker, there is a potential risk of sealing plug dislodging due to the low retention force of engine heat. As a result, the engine oil can burst through the defective part or may even set fire to the motorcycle. Therefore, Honda, as a precautionary measure, has recalled the affected units of the CB300R to address the concern.
